About Me

I write poems, short stories--lately flash fiction and short shorts. I've had stories published in Northwest Review, The Literary Review, Big Muddy, Things That Are True, Elder Mountain and others. I've written four books, two collections of poems, a Cherokee narrative and one collection of short stories. I also like to create work in book arts and book making, along with journaling and mixed media image/text. My art and photography has appeared in the Chicago Institute for the Book and Paper Arts, The Mudhouse, and Good Girl Art. Sometimes, I write in my 10 foot travel trailer.

I still can't believe you have a neighborhood owl. I move into a different apartment next week, and I'm praying there is a bird's nest in the tree outside the living room windows.
I just love that guy. Does he (or she) have a name?
I think it is a gift having this little owl family here. It may not happen again. But wow! I have found two owl feathers while out walking my dog. Life is good.
